I recently added this app and when I try to open it the screen goes black and then returns back to the main app screen. I have a new Iphone 3Gs.

This is usually caused by a glitch during the install. Try deleting the app from the iPhone/iPod and re-installing it. So far that has fixed all the problems we've heard about.
